This is due to the low unemployment rate in the city of Racine. If you need assistance in seeking employment, please contact 262-638-7722 or visit www.sewrks.com
DHS is closely monitoring the current federal government shutdown. FoodShare members are getting their October benefits on schedule. FoodShare members can use their October benefits on their QUEST cards to buy food during a shutdown. If the shutdown continues, DHS will provide an update on funding for FoodShare before the end of October. For additional information, visit the FoodShare News page.
WDVA Milwaukee
Due to the federal shutdown, the Milwaukee VA Regional Benefit Office Building will be closed starting October 2nd. Since the WDVA Milwaukee Claims Section works out of that building, the staff will not be available for in-person appointments for the duration of the shutdown. However, the Claims Section will continue to provide service, assisting with claims submission for VA benefits.
