Committees

HMIS Committee

The HMIS Committee is responsible for developing policies and procedures, identifying training needs and opportunities, and overseeing agency data quality. Bitfocus is Wisconsin’s Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). The committee provides oversight to the Point in Time Workgroup.

• Point-in-Time Workgroup 

  The workgroup plans the January and June Point in Time. Data is reported to the Collaborative Applicant (HALO) and the HMIS Lead Agency (Institute for Community Alliances). 

Standards Committee 

The Standards Committee oversees several Workgroups. The role is to develop standardized operating standards for HUD CoC and ESG funded programs.

Coordinated Entry Workgroup

The Coordinated Entry Workgroup is responsible for developing and implementing standards for Coordinated Entry. Training other organizations in CE and holding regular CE case staffing/by-name list meetings are also duties of this workgroup.

Housing Workgroup

The Housing Workgroup is responsible for identifying and implementing strategies designed to increase housing stability, maximize the use of existing housing resources, identify and develop new housing opportunities, and increase the number of clients placed in permanent housing. The workgroup's duties include implementing program standards for Rapid Rehousing and Permanent Supportive Housing.

Ranking, Ranking, and Evaluation Committee

This workgroup ranks and selects projects for HUD CoC funding and is responsible for reviewing and evaluating projects for effectiveness.
